There is a full calendar of events here. You can subscribe to our email newsletters and monthly calendars

What's on your menu?

Our menu changes seasonally and is updated on our website. Click here for details.

Where can I park?

Street parking is available on Dundas Street and is $1 per hour until 9pm, after which parking is free. There is free parking on the side streets south of Dundas, but it¹s only legal until midnight.

How do I get there?

Directions:

Along the Gardiner (east or west) take the Jameson exit. Go north on Jameson to Queen (where it ends). Turn right (east) onto Queen and continue to Brock. Turn left (north) onto Brock to Dundas. Turn right on Dundas and you are at Lula.

Transit:

Take the Dufferin bus #29) south from Dufferin station, and it¹s a five minute walk west to Lula.

Or, get off at Dundas West Station and take the Dundas Streetcar (505) east to Brock.

What kind of crowd comes to Lula?

It's a little different every night. On Fridays and Saturdays, the majority of people that come for dinner and the dance lesson range in age from mid-30s to late 60s. In general, the crowd is very diverse in terms of age, background and dance ability. Usually as the night goes on, the customers tend to be younger - but we just never know who will surprise us and stay and dance all night long!

Age

We allow people of all ages at Lula, but require people under nineteen to be escorted by a family member who is of age. People under nineteen may be asked to wear a wristband.

Do I need a reservation?

We can seat up to 150 people for dinner. We do sell out on a regular basis, so reservations are strongly recommended.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code at Lula during the weekdays. No sportswear on Friday and Saturday please. The majority of people dress 'smart casual', but you will not be out of place in jeans or a suit and nice shoes.

Do I have to do the package on a Friday or Saturday?

No. If you just want to come for the dance lesson and/or show, the cover is $10 on Fridays and $15 on Saturdays ($10 until March 31). If you are coming for dinner, we offer a $54 package which includes a three course meal, salsa lesson and live band. The menu is not offered a la carte on Friday and Saturday.

Do I need a partner for the dance lesson?

No partner is necessary for the dance lesson. There¹s always plenty of first time beginners taking the class.

What is your front lounge/VIP room?

It is a private room at the front of the restaurant with picture windows. We can seat up to forty people in the room. If there¹s not a private party, some people choose to sit here because it¹s a little quieter, but still only a few steps from the dance floor. The same menu is offered in the lounge as in the main room.

Can I ask the band to announce a birthday or anniversary?

If you tell us about a birthday or anniversary when you make your reservation we will do our best to have the band make an announcement, but we can¹t offer any guarantees as we are dealing with artistic temperaments.

Do you have a guest list?

We do not have a guest list at Lula.

Can I buy tickets to shows at Lula?

We take dinner reservations for Fridays and Saturdays, but we do not sell advance tickets to the majority of shows here. For details on a particular event, please visit the individual web page set up for the event.
