Horn Players Unite!

Horn Players Unite!

Be a part of brass history in the making on June 3, 2017 at 1pm when horn players of all types, levels, ages and musical backgrounds join Toronto’s Street Brass to perform as part of the 2017 Lulaworld Festival and Dundas West Fest.

Led by trombonist Christopher Butcher (of the Heavyweights Brass Band), Street Brass community ensemble meets monthly to learn and play horn-based music from across the Americas.

For this special performance at Dundas West Fest, Street Brass is inviting horn players from everywhere to join in on four songs. Just learn your part online from the videos below, then attend a 6 pm rehearsal on Friday June 2. (Location TBA)

New Orleans-based, Grammy-winning master of jazz trumpet Ashlin Parker will be joining the group to rehearse on June 2nd and for the performance at Dundas Street West Festival.

Those who live in the GTA area are encouraged to attend the regular Street Brass rehearsals that take place the second Saturday of every month Lula Lounge. (1585 Dundas Street West)

We’re expecting players from Montreal, New Orleans, Kingston, Ontario and Manchester, England. Help us make this the most diverse horn honk ever - by representing your band, city, country or genre!

When your performance on June 3 is done you can relax and enjoy a full day of music, food, drinks and family fun at Dundas West Fest. The Lulaworld stage, just west of Brock will continue to highlight brass all afternoon and evening. Full line up coming soon!
