Guaracha y Son
Vocalist and tres guitarist Pabolsky Rosales is joined by Roberto Riveron on bass, Wilver Pedrozo on percussion, and Jorge Maza on flute. This all-Cuban, Toronto-based quartet performs classic son montuno, guaracha, bolero, changüí and guajira from the 30s to 60s as well original compositions. Members have toured, performed and recorded with Cubanismo, Chucho Valdez, Klimax, Isaac Delgado and Sierra Maestra.
In addition to appearances at Lula Lounge, Peppers and Drom Taberna, Guaracha y Son has been invited to perform at the Stratford Summer Music Festival, Roy Thomson Hall, Dusk Dances, Salsa On St. Cair and th Autentica Fiesta Cubano in St. Sauveur, Quebec, to name just a few.
