Welcome to Lula Lounge

Attention: Lula closed for repairs August 16 to Sept 2 inclusive

Every building needs a little TLC from time to time and after 13+ years of almost non-stop salsa, jazz, fundraisers, funk, opera, classical and world music, it’s time for us to show some love and attention to our home at 1585 Dundas.  Lula will be closed for repairs from Sunday, August 16 to Wednesday, September 2 inclusive.

Our Friday jazz series will relaunch on September 4, with Cuban jazz trumpeter Alexis Baro’s CD release. Our salsa programming resumes on the same evening continues every single Friday and Saturday for the rest of the year!

Lula’s Sunday brunch is back the following weekend (Sept 13). Sign up for the Lula newsletter to stay in the loop about Lula reopening special offers. (link to newsletter sign up).

We’ll also be taking a break from our new Tuesday Bachata nights. Check back in the fall for relaunch details.

We’d like to send a big thank you to all the musicians, audience members, press, partners, sponsors, funders and staff who have supported our programming over the years and we invite you all to join us to our reopening on the first weekend of September.

Lula Lounge is Toronto's home to great live salsa, jazz, Brazilian, African and world music.  While we're best known for our salsa Friday and Saturday dinner packages and salsa nights, we're proud to include everything from classical, opera and new music to rock, blues, reggae, punk and pop.

USA Today calls Lula one of the Top Entertainment Spots in Toronto.

"Salsa. Jazz. Brazilian. African. Whatever type of music is playing at Lula Lounge, it is designed to help you to relax and enjoy a contagious beat. If you feel you have two left feet to contend with, consider engaging in the beginner's salsa lesson, free Friday-Sunday. The Friday Jazz series is free before 8pm. The cocktails and live music will be sure to quickly shake off any weekday stress. There are Zumba classes on Saturday morning, a Sunday Cuban brunch and a weekly lineup that has included such class acts as Norah Jones. With excellent sangria available by the litre, this is where you go to smile."
